    Wheelchair Accessible Beach

  • wheelchair accessible beachWasaga Beach has long been hailed as one of the premier visitor destinations in Ontario.  Year after year, visitors from the area and around the world have been returning to one of Ontario's favourite holiday destinations... and the world's longest fresh water beach.  You can stroll along 14 kilometers of white sand beach, swim in warm, clean waters and enjoy panoramic Niagara Escarpment views across the Bay.

    Wasaga Beach is wheelchair accessible!

The Town of Wasaga Beach and Wasaga Beach Provincial Park offers access to all-terrain wheelchairs. This wheelchair's unique patented design allows all four wheels to remain in contact with the ground when going across uneven terrain providing a comfortable ride for its users.  These wheelchairs are available through the Park Office for a deposit.  For information call 705-429-2516.

In addition, a Mobi-Mat RecPath is offered at Beach Areas 2 and 5.  This portable rollout access pathway provides continuous walkway and enhanced access to the Beach and Bay, assisting pedestrians, wheelchairs, strollers, and bicycles on unstable ground.

The Wasaga Beach boardwalk. located in Beach Areas 1 and 2, is wheelchair and stroller accessible and provides an unobstructed view of the beach and Bay. Beach Area 1 also has a wheelchair accessible fishing platform providing access to the Nottawasaga River. Shaded picnic tables are located just off the boardwalk.
