Located in Meaford, Trout Hollow Trail has 14 km of ungroomed trail along the Bighead River. Access is from Edwin St. (across from Beautiful Joe Park) or from the 7th Line (take Hwy 26 west to Grey Rd 12, turn left at 7th Line, parking is after 13 Sideroad).

Explore 50 km of some of Ontario’s best back country ungroomed marked nordic ski trails, accessible from Grey Rd 2 south of Grey Rd 19. Due to the vast number of intersections, a trail map is highly advised and available for purchase from our Visitor Centre, Ravenna General Store or online at kolaporetrails.org where regularly updated trail conditions can also be found. For greatest enjoyment beginner and intermediate skiers are encouraged to enter the trails at south end of the system.

In Collingwood, there is a series of small, ungroomed loop trails that connect to the Georgian Trail.  Deer sightings are common.  Drive west on Mountain Rd. approximately 2 km to the Eleventh Line on your right.  Go to the end of the road to park.

In The Blue Mountains, explore 7 km of ungroomed trail, part of the Bruce Trail.  From our Visitor Centre, head up to Mountain Rd. to the roundabout, take the Scenic Caves Rd, turn and follow this road past Scenic Caves to Banks.  Turn right and stay on this road until you see the sign for Loree. Roadside parking is available.

Approximately 5 km of ungroomed, marked ski and snowshoe trails are available through the golf course.  This is a great trail for beginners.  Rentals are available at the Cranberry Rec Centre.   Access to the trail is from Hwy 26 W, turn left at Harbour St. (the stoplight past Canadian Tire) and drive to the end of the road.  Park to the left behind the Cranberry Golf Course clubhouse.

In Wasaga Beach you will find 3.6 km of ungroomed trail though mixed forest and dunes, part of the Simcoe County Trails system.  Follow Mosley St. in Wasaga Beach to River Road W.  Just over the bridg, turn right onto Oxbow Park Drive and park in the lot on the right.  Cross the road and enter the trail through a fence opening next to the Emergency Services building.  A map is available at our Visitor Centre.

Spanning Collingwood, The Blue Mountains, and Meaford, the Georgian Trail offers 34 km of ungroomed linear trail accessible at various points.  It is the perfect place for uncomplicated cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.  It follows the route of the original Northern Railway along the southern shore of Georgian Bay.  Each kilometre throughout the trail is signed and maps are located at major access points. A map is available at our Visitor Centre.
