    Summer Camps

  • Find the perfect summer day camp for your kids this summer. There is a multitude of quality summer day camps for children, offering a range of innovative programs. Wilderness and nature camps offer children the opportunity to connect with nature and spend many days in the great outdoors or on the water. Theatre camps offer the opportunity to learn a new skill, play dress up and have fun with a whole group.

    Outdoor Kids Summer Camp

    The aim of the Kids Camp is to provide a unique outdoor experience where children are challenged to develop skills that increases self-confidence, and encourages respect and responsibility for themselves and the environment. Free Spirit Tours believe kids learn by doing and so they provide outdoor-based activities that encourages active participation in a safe and fun environment.

    Activities for ages 7 and up include: rock climbing, caving, canoeing, sea kayaking, voyageur canoeing, biking and team building games.

    Explorers Ages: 7-9 years old
    Adventures Ages: 10-12 years old
    Extreme Ages: 13-16 years old

    Starting date varies depending on the age.



    Blue Mountain Summer Day Camps

    Blue Mountain Resort calls all boys and girls to spend the summer at the beach kayaking and stand up paddle boarding, at the Plunge! pool for swimming lessons, or at the Monterra Tennis for basic fundamentals tennis lessons. Children's camps are available throughout the summer months, plus licensed child care programs offer fun, active, outdoor activities for children between the ages of 4 and 12 years old.

    Mountainside Camp: Ages 4-12 years old
    Beachside Camp: Ages 6-12 years old
    Monterra Tennis Camp: Ages 6-12 years old

    All camps starting from July 2 - August 31, 2018

    Highlands Wilderness Day Camp
    Wilderness Adventures for ages 5 to 11. Go pond dipping, hunt for bugs in the forest, play survival, build shelters, glide down our slip and slide and make crafts throughout the week to bring home! 4 year olds welcome on select weeks. Must be enrolled for JK or turn 4 by December 31st.
    Cost is $235 (tax included) per week, which includes 2 snacks and a lunch per day as well as a day camp gift.
    A daily rate is available. It is $47 per day, which includes 2 snack and a lunch per day.

    Highlands Golf Adventure Day Camp
    For half the day at Highlands go pond dipping, hunt for bugs in the forest, build shelters, glide down our slip and slide and make crafts throughout the week to bring home! The other half of the day your camper will be learning swing fundamentals, putting, and play on the Duntroon Highlands Golf Course, located next door to Highlands Nordic. For ages 5 to 11, on select weeks only.
    Cost is $325 (tax included) per week, which includes 2 snacks and a lunch per day as well as a day camp gift.

    Highlands Hawkeye Adventure Day Camp
    At Hawkeye Adventure Camp spend the week learning skills to become an experienced outdoorsman or woman. Campers will learn about human survival through exploring what to pack in their backpacks when going on a hike, how to dress appropriately, basic first aid, and how to safely build effective shelter and fire. Each day will have a new adventure where campers will mountain bike, and learn how to do archery and biathlon*. Throughout the week they will also learn about animals and the roles humans play in the environment. For ages 10 to 14 on the week of July 16th to 20th.
    *Campers must provide their own bike. Archery and biathlon equipment is included.
    Cost is $325 (tax included) per week, which includes 2 snacks and a lunch per day as well as a day camp gift.

    Musical Theatre Camp

    Presented by Meaford Hall
    August 13 - 24th

    With Dean Hollin campers receive instruction in acting, dance, singing, set design, props, costumes, sound and lighting from a team of performance-industry professionals resulting in a hands-on, complete-ownership process. The session culminates during the final afternoon of camp with a live presentation on the beautiful, state-of-the-art Meaford Hall stage!

    *Please provide a bag lunch for your child. Ages 8-14. Pre-registration is required.

    Living Stone Golf Resort Weekly Kids Camps

    Cranberry Golf Resort offers a wide variety of weekly kids camps in different areas of interest and for different age ranges throughout July and August. Each day, the campers will play and grow together through art, organized games, outdoor exploration, and science experiments. Campers will participate in daily swimming at our Recreation Center. Every Wednesday will be a different themed day, all crafts, organized sports and science experiments will be compliment that week’s theme! Fridays will have a fun surprise for campers of all ages!

    Tiny Trekkers: Ages 4-6 years old

    Is committed to giving our youngest campers a positive first experience at summer camp. Every day, the children will swim, play and grow together through art, music, organised games and outdoor exploration. It is the perfect taster session designed to teach children how fun summer can be when it’s spent at camp!

    Early Explorers: Ages 7-13 years old

    Focuses on fun and learning through science and discovery.Each day, the campers will partake in safe, fun science experiments, learn more about the Collingwood area through outdoor exploration and discovery and take home valuable experiences which they will remember for years to come. Like all of our camps, the campers will also swim and play daily, keeping them active and looking forward to their next adventure. The ideal place for your future scientist!

    Future Masters: Ages 7-13 years old

    Taking place right on our beautiful 18-hole golf course, our Future Masters will learn from our certified golf teaching professionals and will have the opportunity to practice their skills on the course daily. On top of all this, the campers will swim and join their fellow Cranberry Campers for other sports and games when they are not on the course.

    Living Water Resort camp runs from July 3rd to August 31st 2018.


    Theatre Collingwood Summer Drama Camp

    July 9- 13th & August 13-17th
    9-4pm @ The Simcoe Street Theatre
    $160 + HST

    Join Theatre Collingwood for their Summer Drama Camp where creativity grows and friendships blossom. This drama camp will focus on the idea of finding your own voice and your own expression. Through improvisation, story building, movement and basic scene study, campers will gain confidence in themselves and learn more about their own unique capabilities. For ages 7-11 years. No experience necessary.

    Roar Like a Dinosaur!: Ages 5-13 years old

    Everything you ever wanted to learn about dinosaurs and more. Make dinosaur eggs, learn about
    fossils, dig for dinosaurs and more. Starting July 2nd - July 6th.

    Ahoy Matey!: Ages 5-13 years old

    This is your chance to become a real pirate! Through games, activities and more you will know all
    there is to know about living the pirate life by the end of this fun filled week. Starting July 9th - 13th.

    Swim Camp 1: Ages 6 -13 years old

    Children will participate in swimming lessons in the morning, with a combination of other activities in the afternoon. Note: Full swim lessons are provided, but we do not guarantee passing of the level during the camp. Full week registration is required for swim camps due to the swimming lesson commitments. Starting July 16th - July 21st.

    Vikings: Ages 5-13 years old

    A fun filled week of exploration where you will learn everything you ever wanted to know about Vikings through activities, crafts and more. Pre-registration is required. Presented by Meaford Museum. Starting July 23rd - July 28th

    Bury Your Head in a Good Book!: Ages 5-13 years old

    Explore different worlds and genres in books through activities that include cooking (make lambas bread from Lord of the Rings) or dragon eggs from How To Train a Dragon. Startring August 7th - August 10th.

    I’d Rather be Camping!: Ages 5-13 years old

    Different life hack skills for camping and other activites will be explored. Outdoor survival skills including learning how to use a compass, tie knots more will be taught this week. Pre-registration is required. Starting August 13th - August 17th.
    Swim Camp 2: Ages 5-13 years old

    Children will participate in swimming lessons in the morning with a combination of other activities in the afternoon. Starting August 20th - August 25th.

    Can’t Sit Still: Ages 5-13 years old

    Activities for active children. Starting August 27th - August 31st

    Jr Lifeguard Camp: Ages 11-14 years old

    Come and see what being a Lifeguard is all about! The days will be filled with physical activity, performing real tasks, and daily visits from other emergency service departments. A camp T-shirt and Friday pizza lunch provided. Starting August 27th - August 31st.

    Simcoe County Museum Summer Programs 

    PA Day Camps

    Camp runs 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. and is suitable for children aged 6 - 12. Space is limited, register early to avoid disappointment as camps are very popular and fill up quickly!

    Pioneer Kids Club: Saturday April 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th 2018. From 9:30 am - 12:30 pm
    Turn off those electronics and get your kids engaged in history and education by joining us for our Pioneer Kids Club. The program runs every Saturday morning for the month of April and introduces children to the life of a pioneer with games, food and crafts.

    Summer Day Camp
    Camp runs 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. and is suitable for children aged six - 12.

    Adventure Hunters - Become an Adventure Hunter for the week! Each day will be a new adventure! Be a superhero for a day, learn how to survive in the wild, explore a land before time and walk with the dinosaurs.

    Lazy days of Summer - Fun is the objective for this week as we take part in many of our favourite Simcoe County summer activities. Join us for a week of old fashioned summer fun and games, and enjoy the lazy, crazy days of summer.

    Hats off to the past - Discover the stories of Simcoe County through the magic of hats. Each day, a different hat will take us back in time to explore the fascinating people and stories from our past.
