    Rainy Day Fun


  • Even when the weather is rainy, there is still lots to do in the South Georgian Bay region.

    1. Fairways Indoor Golf is FUN central for the whole family. Try their Famous Ribs and great food, then play Golf, Nintendo Wii, Pool, Darts and other games.

    2. Watch candy makers making mouth-watering candy and chocolates, Truffles, Lollipops, Creamy Fudge, Peanut Brittle, and Icecream at theCandy Factory.

    3. The Collingwood Museum is located at the Station, a replica of the 1873 Railway station. The collection is Marine and local history. They also provide an extensive array of programs for community members and visitors alike with changing exhibits throughout the year. Closed Wed & Thurs.

    4. Go for a dip at the Plunge Aquatic Centre at the Village at Blue Mountain. As long as there is no lightning, this indoor/outdoor aquatic centre is always a huge hit with the kids.

    5. The Collingwood YMCA has an indoor pool, workout rooms, gymnasium and activity rooms.

    6. Who doesn't love bowling....especially at Georgian Bowl, with 12 lanes of 5-pin bowling, automatic scoring, video games, pool tables, air hockey and a snack bar. Its a great place to spend a rainy afternoon.

    7. The Galaxy Cinema in Collingwood has all the latest movies. Matinees are available in the summer and on school holidays. So take in a flik if the weather's not great ...and even when the weather is nice, everyone loves popcorn. Don't miss half-price Tuesdays! Call for showtimes 705-443-8478

    8. Go up to the Village and enjoy all the shops. You might get a little wet running from store to store but browsing through these unique and interesting shops is truly enjoyable. Don't forget to get your sample of fudge at the Olde Stanton Store.

    9. Artsy kids? Take them to ArtSpark in Collingwood or to Crock a Doodle in the Village to have some fun. Come on in to paint & play. Add some colour to your day! Crock A Doodle offers hands-on fun for everyone in a bright,contemporary studio. ArtSpark enjoys lighting artistic sparks in everyone.

    10. Elephant Thoughts is a great place to explore. Amazing educational toy store for all ages. Cool gadgets and toys: rockets robots fossils and hundreds more items big and small. Gifts for all budgets!
