COLLINGWOOD'S MARINE HERITAGE
Georgian Bay is such an important part of our region's heritage with many layers of history represented on its shores. Many vessels were side-launched into the Collingwood Harbour throughout our 103 year history of shipbuilding, as Collingwood produced a great variety of ships, tankers, package freighters and passenger vessels. Collingwood-built ships have sailed every Great Lake and several oceans. This rich heritage is on display at The Station, where the Georgian Triangle has its Regional Visitor Centre along with the Collingwood Museum.
