Description: Northbound The Northwest Passage in Story & Song
Fri Oct 13, 7pm $28

Northbound is a live performance by a stellar five-piece folk band, enhanced with photographs, video and personal stories. Cultural ambassadors Siqiniup Qilauta / Sunsdrum offer insights into contemporary and traditional Inuit music and culture. Original songs by veteran performer David Newland, Fellow of the Royal Canadian Geographical Society celebrate and reexamine our relationship to the mythical North, from the Franklin expedition, to the High Arctic Relocations, to the new realities of the 21st century Arctic life. “This show has been earning ovations across Ontario,” says Adventure Canada. www.davidnewland.com www.adventurecanada.com Presented by the Meaford Hall & Culture Foundation
