Description: The Meaford Scarecrow and Family Festival is saddling up for fun as Scarecrows Go Western. From mid-September to mid-October scarecrows will be invading the town celebrating everything western -yee haw! Scarecrows vignettes on western themes will appear around down especially down town and on Station Hill. Business will join the fun by decorating. On Friday September 28 the Scarecrow Invasion Parade will start on Sykes St. at 6pm with floats, bands and other surprises. The Family Festival at the harbor begins at 6:30 with children’s activities, auctioning of the winning apple pies both in the adult and youth categories and other fun entertainment. Join the round up for a western style good time.
